Current Questions

Here are some of the questions people have asked in the past.

What tarot deck do you recommend for people?

There are many tarot decks on the market today and there is one special deck that will meet the needs of an individual. When I teach my tarot classes the first thing we do is study the history, mystery, and lore of the tarot and examine the skeleton of the system. Understanding the tarot at a deep level enables an individual to use just about any deck. After a person had fully grasped the concepts of the tarot I think they are then ready to choose a deck of their own liking.

If an individual chooses to use a modern deck and not study the history of tarot it is best for them to really learn the system of that deck and become a little mini expert in that field. If a person chooses to use Inner Child Cards, for example, a tarot deck designed to teach the mystical meaning of fairy tales as they relate to the unfolding of human consciousness, I would suggest they delve into the deeper core aspects of tarot as a storytelling tool. Each deck has its fine points and some draw backs.

I have been blessed to create several decks and each one comes from a deep and sacred place within my core. I always, no matter what deck I choose to create, or recommend, will advise an individual to hold a deep respect for the tool of tarot. It is a scholarly as well as a mystical healing tool.

Pay attention to the pictures on a deck. What are you drawn to? What pictures are you attracted to? This is the picture consciousness that lives within. Pay attention to your own taste and preference and you will know which deck to use.

Will you be offering prints of the pictures of the Inner Child Cards and Power of Flower Cards?

Not at this time. I hope to choose some of the favorites and have a set of postcards made for each deck. This will come before the prints.

Does energy influence a reading?

Yes, indeed. The vibratory energy field in your hands and around your aura have a strong impact on the session. Beautiful energy reflects wisdom and peace. When your energy field is clean and pure it is offererd as an elixir of inspiration to those you assist. There are some very good energy cleansers to use before a session. I have a spray bottle that I fill with spring water, Crab Apple flower essence, Pink Yarrow flower essence, Rose. I spray this around myself and my office often. It really helps keep the energy clean and fresh on all levels.

I am currently taking the Karmic Imprint Blend. Can I take another Blend at the same time?

It is not a good idea to mix too many flower essences at once, especially the blends, as they already contain several flowers. I would stay with the one blend for a month...see how you feel, and then move to the next blend if you wish.

How do you find the potency of the stock bottle essence in comparison to the formula stock?

The stock bottle is also called the 'Mother Essence.' This is the original essence made from the flower which is diluted with pure spring water. It is from this formula that the different levels of the formula are derived. From the Mother Stock comes the "Stock Formula" and from this we create the "Remedy Dosage Bottle."

Are the flower essences to be taken internally or just smelled for the healing benefits?

Yes, flower essences are not to be confused with aromatherapy. Aromatherapy utilizes the scent of the flower or plant as a means to stimulate particular areas of the brain in order to induce particular moods, healings, and cures. Flower essences are taken orally as a very high vibrational medicine that affects the auric and energy field of the body. They sooth and balance the system so that other areas of healing may take place. The essence is actually holding within its properties the vibration of the flower and its holographic imprint. Flower essences are very gentle, yet, powerful healers for body, mind, and spirit.

Does each of us have a healing flower? If yes, how can I find mine?
Elena Tamura Maebashi, Japan

This is what I call the “character flower.” Within the astrological birth chart we are able to detect the human temperament of each individual. Some carry a karmic print of anger, others fear, while another person may be inflicted with deep grief or negativity. We can identify these patterns in the astrology wheel and discover how best one may be able to overcome the obstacle or limitation that has blocked the way to internal happiness and purpose. In my mind, the two go together in a beautiful way.

Once the karmic imprint is found within the chart we are able to find the suitable flowers that will aid and free the pattern. Usually several flowers are used. However, there is one main flower representing the core of the person’s chart, and this flower can be taken over and over again, at different intervals of life, in order to address it at all levels of consciousness.

Also, it is known that each of us has our own signature, just like a plant. We may feel a certain affinity to particular plants and flowers. If we study that plant we may learn something about our own life.

How do I know which tarot deck is right for me?

It is a matter of taste in regard to color, pictures, myth, and personal magnetism. It is a very old tale to believe that you cannot choose your own tarot deck and purchase it. You do not have to wait for someone else to buy it for you. It is very special to receive a tarot deck as a gift. If you do no like it, give it away. If you see a deck that you fall in love with, buy it and use it. We are always on the path...and we are pathfinders. If you come across a deck that you adore, by all means, learn how to share the beauty of it with others.

What is a Blue Moon?
John Wilson Apple, WA
http://www.google.com

The Moon can sometimes appear bluish because of atmospheric conditions, but the expression once in a blue Moon refers to a month during which two full moons occur...one at the beginning and the other near the end of the month. This happens only once every few years.

Who does the artwork for the Tarot Cards?
Paul Jones Bethel, WA

I have been very fortunate to work with three very giftred artists. Christopher Guilfoil did the artwork for Inner Child Cards. Karen Forkish did the beautiful paintings for The Power of Flower Cards. Mara Friedman did the artwork for The Triple Goddess Tarot.

With Inner Child Cards and Power of Flower Cards I and the artist worked together with layout of design and card symbolism. It is a very involved process that requires mutual respect and team effort.

Mara Friedman had many of the paintings created before the deck was conceived. I fell in love with her work and encouraged her to create Triple Goddess Tarot with me. Her chakra images that accompany the deck were a joint effort.

I am currently working on a deck painted by Amy Erickson entilted The Primal Tarot. I also have a seconed deck that is entitled Courtship of the Soul: The Tarot of Illumined Love, currently in process by my artist daughter, Gabriella Lerner, now 24 years of age. She has her BFA in art and will soon do her masters work on the east coast. She is spending a year studying color and oil painting while she creates the images for this new deck. I am very proud to do this deck with her.

What do birds generally signify in a card or in a person's life symbolically?

Birds mostly represent spirit and freedom. Because of their association with air, the heavens, and mostly, because they can fly, birds represent our own urge for freedom from contraint, movement, and adventure. White birds are known to represent the soul life or past life visits. Blue birds show us happiness. Bird song is the sound of nature at it's best, and signifies an open mind within the open air. A black bird may welcome either the symbolic picture of mystery or prophecy. Particular birds have different meanings as well such as eagles, hummingbirds, hawks, crows, etc. This is a vast and exciting topic.
