Healing the Maladies of the Soul with Flower Essences
Healing the Maladies of the Soul with Flower Essences
Last month I wrote about the changing fields of energy for women, and men, as we advance into our wise years. As mentioned, our perspective on life shifts as we engage with our own true essence as we advance in age and experience. I want to share a bit of information regarding the more ‘collective’ growth patterns that are karmically connected to this specific age group. During a life span, each individual has their own unique course to follow; however, generational groupings attune individuals to a broader sense of belonging and camaraderie due to the fact that we share the same long range astrological cycles. These generational group cycles span ten to fifteen years.
I will address the group of people born between the years of 1942 through 1956. All individuals born during this time cycle share two common links; they have Neptune in the sign of Libra and Pluto in the sign of Leo. What does that mean?
The Neptune in Libra generation This group of individuals became young active adults in the sixties and seventies during a time of consciousness expansion, when passionate ideals and reformation plans were organized, such as the woman’s movement, the peace movement, anti war demonstrations, and the Peace Corp. A radical new approach to love and relationships arose due to the birth control pill and the saying, “Make Love, Not War.” The momentum of the Neptune in Libra cycle suggests a re-ordering of values in everyday life as a means to balance ideals with reality. Many people born between these years have a peace loving nature, love art and music, and carry within the core of their being an innate need for higher vision.
The downfall or challenge for this group arises when the feeling of disappointment and disillusionment prevails. Their incarnation is rooted in the concept of hope and beauty, therefore, when the world appears less than able to attain such grace, these people may seek escape routes that may, in time, sabotage their ideals and prospects for success. They may also avoid the attainment of their ideals in fear of being lost or betrayed and shroud themselves behind a curtain of illusion, never finding Will or Purpose to pursue the dreams they so wish to manifest. It is of the utmost importance that these individuals find appropriate means to express their talent, art, and high ideals as they seek to attain equal relationship and harmony in all endeavors.
The Pluto in Leo placement Again, this generation is important to analyze due to the fiery and creative force Leo brings to Pluto after the watery journey it had previously made in the sign of Cancer. Prior to the Leo cycle, Pluto reigned in the sign of Cancer from 1912 to 1939. This ‘Cancer’ soul group had hard lessons to learn about safety, security, fear, and emotional aspects of life. As a result of having been through the depression era and the prominent world wars, they, like the Cancer Crab, sought ways to protect themselves from the outside forces of danger and invasion by creating protective modes of living. They were given the karmic imprint of very deep survival needs. The next generation, Pluto in Leo, had the Pluto in Cancer parents, and was given a new role to play in the greater scheme of life. The Pluto in Leo generation was born with the karmic imprint of free expression and a great need to pursue new dimensions of expression and creativity.
Pluto in Leo children are endowed with a deep urge to create, invent, and express individually, and, connect through their passions rather than fear, which explains the work this group has done in the field of psychology, dream work, progressive medicine, vibrational healing, and all forms of therapeutic expansion as it relates to emotions and fear. Many of the ‘parents’ would be challenged by this rapture of new ideals, passion, and enthusiasm and find it a bit ‘self centered,’ which is always a potential hazard for Leo. These creative kids, considered the “baby Boomers,” are presently moving into positions as elders in the society. They have had a more difficult time with the maturation process due to the Pluto in Leo placement and its connection to the ‘eternal child’ paradigm. This generation coined the term ‘Inner Child,’ as a means to preserve the “creative light of the child” that they hold so dear within their heart and soul. It is of utmost importance that they now discover a healthy balance between the Neptune forces and the Pluto forces as a means to manifest the destiny of their mission on earth.
The time has come for these individuals to own their authority in the world and walk into a maturation process that will align them to their creative purpose of the Pluto/Leo combination in order to invoke the imagination and ideal of the Neptune/Libra connection. They must strive to bridge the creative child energy with a new paradigm of adulthood and empowerment.
Aging becomes an unfolding drama and adventure for them. They do not want aging to look of feel like it was for their parents or the older generation, and, with a world full of environmental shifts, this generation will take a fresh look at housing, consumption, and basic survival. The Pluto in Virgo generation, that followed, has an earth/survival/ecology dilemma to work with in a practical way as they advance into age.
