December/January
There is so much happening. Those of us who choose to pay attention to the news and world events are being bombarded with images and media hype that can tax our minds and hearts. I feel a need to be responsible, feet firmly placed on the ground in order to pay attention to the mass cry for help and understanding. If I put blind folders over my eyes I may miss the dearest opportunity to be of service to others.
What do we do? How can we help bring about justice and peace? I know it sounds old and you've heard it before, but the words are true and I know they hold water. Pay attention to your own thoughts and actions each and every day. Pour love out to the world. We know that Justice is our greatest teacher. The higher laws of Truth well prevail. We must be non-judgemental, yet highly discriminating. Hold out for the highest circumstance for each individual that they may live out the destiny they have come to meet, and, hopefully, heal.
Life is very busy these days. I am finishing up with the writing of my newest tarot deck entitled The Primal Tarot. This is a 78 card deck that is just fantastic. Painted by Amy Erickson it is fresh, alive, playful, colorful, and exptremely powerful as it portrays images that evoke body response and imagination. I am honored to write this book and be a part of this new project. This deck will be published by Bear and Company in Fall of 2004.
Soon I will be finishing up with many coaching and mentoring students by the end of Januray. I will have room for new students and clients. If you are interested in working with me check out these two links for more information:

I have two poems that I would like to share with you. One of my dear clients added this one to her collage that she made as we were working together. I adore it.
But if a mirror ever makes you sad. You should know that it does not know you.

And, I love this one, too. It seems so appropriate for the New Year.
~Wild Geese
You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a thousand miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-- over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
--Mary Oliver
I couldn't have said it any better than that! Love to you in the New Year.
