This is the Welcome Screen. It has no active elements. Moving through the application is simply a matter of sliding the screen to the left or right. In this case, we can move on to the Name Entry screen by sliding this screen to the left.

Help for iChing 2GO®

Welcome to iChing 2GOŽ's help page. This page explains how to use iChing 2GOŽ, our app for iPhones, iPad, and iPod touch, and defines each screen object. If you are looking for more information about the I Ching, we also have pages that explain how to use the I Ching, how the I Ching works and the history of the I Ching.

This is the Name Entry screen. Tapping on the Name Entry field will open a keyboard allowing you to enter your name into the application.

Press Done when you are finished entering your name.
Pressing the Info Button opens a help dialog that explains the buttons available in iChing 2GOŽ.
To close a help dialog, press the Close Button.
Sliding the screen left from the Name Entry screen brings you to the Question Entry screen. The Question Entry and Info Button on this screen work exactly like they do on the name entry screen.
Note: While editing your question, you can erase the text you've entered by pressing the Field Reset Button
Sliding the screen left from the Question Entry screen brings you to the Coin Toss screen.
The question you entered on the Question Entry Screen appears here.
Pressing the Coin Toss button does several things. It tosses the coins, displays the resulting hexagram line and enables the reset buttons here and on the entry screens.
The Info Button works the same on this screen as on the Name Entry and Question Entry Screens.
Once the Coin Toss button has been pressed, use any of the reset buttons to change the Name Entry or Question Entry fields, or start a new hexagram. These reset buttons will clear the existing hexagram and enable editing of the Name Entry and Question Entry fields. Tap the field to edit it.
Pressing the Coin Toss button 5 more times will complete the hexagram.
As the hexagram is built, lines that will change are green and marked with an arrow.
Lines that do not change are purple and do not have an arrow.
Once the hexagram is built, slide the screen to the left to see the first result screen. This screen shows the question here.
It shows the first hexagram here.
Here is the commentary that matches the first hexagram.
Sliding the Current Situation screen to the left reveals the Changing Into screen. This screen shows the second hexagram and its commentary.
If there are no changing lines in the hexagram that was created on the Coin Toss page, this information will be identical to the Current Situation screen.
