Tara has been immersed in the study and practice of “Destiny Astrology” since a life-altering, revelatory dream in the summer of 2006, during which she was shown an astrological formula related to the Tree of Life. Tara has a Ph.D. in Comparative Religion and Women’s Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.

Through her in-depth exploration of the world's religious traditions, Tara discovered a natural affinity with many of the teachings and practices of Tantric Buddhism, in particular, as well as Taoism and Essene Christianity. She has a special, life-long interest in issues pertaining to destiny and has worked primarily as a writer, editor and writing coach for the past twenty-seven years (prior to which time she made her living as a graphic artist), specializing in subject matter at the intersection of spirituality and psychology. She is a co-author of The Triple Goddess Tarot with Isha Lerner.

Tara is a native of Michigan who has lived and worked all over the US, as well as in Canada, Japan and Ireland. She was the founder of a nonprofit organization called The Famine Heart Project during her two year stay in Ireland. She currently lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is one of the managing partners and the editor in chief of Inner Sight/ILE.
