The story of Beauty and the Beast is an inspirational fable that generates music in the heart. The age,old lesson or moral is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In the traditional tarot, this card is called Strength and often pictures a beautiful woman opening the mouth of a lion! Manzanita
The Power of Flowers By Isha Lerner
Latin: Arctostaphyos manzanita
Color(s): White to pink
Archetype:
The Fertility Goddess, Venus of Willendorf. Revered as the embodiment
of sacred cycles of life and death, her emblem of fertility—a full,
round body, pregnant with the possibility of new life and creativity—was
the hallmark of ancient matriarchal societies—a timeless, symbolic
representation of the Universal Mother Goddess.
Signature:
An evergreen with crooked deep reddish purple branches, silvery-green
leaves and white to pink bell-like flowers. Its tiny fruit, resembling
apples, turn from white to deep red.
Healing Properties:
Manzanita brings harmony to body and soul, helping to uplift our
attitude concerning body image, assisting people suffering from eating
disorders of any kind, and helping those sensitive, spiritually-attuned
souls who find the body cumbersome
Healing: The Venus of
Willendorf and the dancing Goddess figures in Manzanita tree greet you,
honoring the feminine spirit that resides with you. You are being
mirrored by the Universal Mother who asks that you see yourself as she
sees you - as an incarnation of divinity. Perhaps you need to tap your
roots a bit closer to the Earth in order that you may fully take
pleasure in your glorious body. As your body cycles through its many
seasons, contemplate the Manzanita as a symbol of feminine
transformation: its bark peels from its lovely branches after its
ripened fruit has fallen to Earth, and like the snake, it then begins a
new cycle of rejuvenation. The female body is nature's treasure, for
without Her many symbolic deaths and regenerations, humanity would
surely perish. We must once again learn to respect our female bodies,
nourish them well, and love them fully, if we are to honor the Great
Goddess who gives Her abundant Love to all.

Hibiscus
The Power of Flowers By Isha Lerner
Latin: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
Color(s): Red or Purple
Archetype: Hi’iaka-I-Ka-Poli-O-Pele (Hi’Iaka-in-the-bosom-of-Pele. Hi’iaka, Supreme Goddess of the Hula, according to legend, was born of the Earth Mother Goddess Haumea, as an egg that transformed into a beautiful girl. Hula is a sacred study, undertaken by aspiring sorcerers and healers.
Signature: An evergreen shrub which blooms year round but whose blossoms last only a day or two. The reproductive organs of the hibiscus flower protrude conspicuously from the center of its five flaring petals.
Healing Properties: Hibiscus energizes the first and second chakras, undoing blockages in the lower back and spine, and healing reproductive ailments, including infertility problems, frigidity or lack of feeling, as well as acting as a balm for long-held scars of sexual trauma.
Healing: The Hawaiian Islands are a place of high mythological drama, with the greatest drama of all centering upon the antics of Pele and Hi'iaka, for these two legendary sisters bring the fiery passion of the volcano and the liberating sensuality of the Hula to life. Together, they bridge the mystical gap between the unseen powers of nature and humanity, for Pele is fire, itself, and Hi'iaka is the living human form of woman, but she cannot sustain this form, for her realm is that of raw, volcanic energy. Hi'iaka becomes a living embodiment of Pele's explosive power, coupled with the qualities of compassion, service, human love and sexuality.
The Hibiscus flower comes to you today as a flaming chalice, inviting you to live your truest passions. The fires of Pele give rise to dancing flames of swirling intensity - leaping toward the heavens. Their movement serves as a metaphor, showing the way to true liberation. Hi'iaka's beautiful dance reveals the physical embodiment of Pele's fire, reminding you that you must ground this energy in your body. Swaying, undulating, and flowing to the rhythm of the cosmos strengthens the root chakra, allowing you to become rooted and safe in a world of inevitable change and uncertainty.
Perhaps most of what is wrong with the Western world can be traced to the fact that we have forgotten how to move our hips. Hibiscus thaws that which needs thawing, the frozen places inside where our passion cannot live - especially in the region of the first and second chakras. Hi'iaka gracefully moves her body to the cosmic tune of nature's symphony. Dancing amidst pounding shores and an erupting volcano wreathed in flowers and nature's garment, she creates the story of life. Choose to live your life to the flowing rhythms of the dance, and bring harmony into each day. Journey to the ocean, a mountain, or your own special nature retreat in order to experience the dance of the elemental world. Feel the warmth of the inner feminine tending the hearth of your creative passion as you sip Hibiscus tea by a warm fire. Your volcanic spirit is dormant no longer. Arise and move your hips. You are alive and well.

Five of Hearts Inner Child Cards By Isha Lerner
Often, during our darkest hours, there is a need for reflection and rest, represented in this card by the sea turtles, the calm ocean, and the crescent Moon. Then, suddenly, something magical can happen. The mermaid of the Four of Hearts who experiences sorrow and hopeless feelings opens a treasure chest in the Five of Hearts, and is offered a special Winged Heart. She gazes at a golden pentacle at the center of this heart, a symbolic star of initiation reflecting her cosmic guiding star in the heavens. The pentacle is the most widely revered of all esoteric symbols. Traditionally, its meaning refers to the perfection of humanity. The pentacle can act as a spiritual protector and is connected to the mystical significance of the number 5. The main quality inherent in this number is that of change. In this card, the mermaid is experiencing a change of heart: she is healing the wounds of the past. When change occurs in your life, especially at an emotional level, you may feel confused and vulnerable. The changes now happening in your life are guided and protected by the seal of the golden star residing at the center of your heart. This star is your Higher Self. Rest assured that creativity will follow this interlude of chaos. Don't let the blues get you down. Anticipate a renewal of both interpersonal and divine love.

Two of Hearts
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
Sacred union and attraction in the feeling realm are personified by the mermaid and merman in this card. A rainbow connects and balances them. Two dolphins representing the intelligence of the universe leap over the rainbow in unison and joy. According to classical myth, the dolphin was placed among the stars as the constellation Delphinius because it played the role of matchmaker, merging the sea goddess Amphitrite with Poseidon. This card can symbolize either two people sharing love or two aspects of a person striving for unity and wholeness. Therefore, marriage, in all its forms, is associated with this card. It is from this place of divine union that we encounter balance and integrity in the polarity of the sexes. Two in any suit attracts the potential to regulate duality. You may be sharing your heart with another at this time, one whom you feel to be a beloved mate. This spiritual partner could be an actual lover, a friend, or a higher awakening. As you meditate on the deeper meanings of this card, remember that your own heart can be a rainbow bridge of living color and light, linking you to the source of the Divine Child within and helping you heal old wounds in the heart of a loved one.

Alladin and the Magic Lamp
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
When this card appears in your reading, realize that you create your own reality from every thought, word, and action. Rather than thinking analytically, explore your creative genius. Recognize the power of affirmations and the need to protect yourself from negative thoughts in the psychic atmosphere. Remember that “naming” objects and people is a magical art. All names are composed of letters, and each letter carries a numerical and spiritual vibration. The abracadabras and open sesames of children's stories rekindle the magic of using words as mantras of power, or phrases of enchantment. Keep in mind that once the genie is “out of the bottle,” some danger of misusing power is always present. However, that danger can be transformed into a great adventure of consciousness and mental expansion. Let the light of innocence and imagination rekindle your passion for learning.

Eight of Hearts
Inner Child CardsBy Isha Lerner
The infinity symbol stands for completeness. It is composed of a solar right side and a lunar left side and can denote union or balance between the sexes. In essence, it is two becoming one. Ancient mystics said this symbol indicated the presence of twin gods or goddesses. Such twins were praised as magicians, healers, and angels of fertility. In this card, twin water spirits are uniting through the deep, transforming circle of power and change. Although their music is calm, the waves behind them ebb and flow with a rhythm of strength and force. This is represented by the eight musical notes in the shape of Winged Hearts. The blending of these opposing forces is the key to understanding personal transformation. The number 8 is itself a sign for infinity and represents passion, sexuality, power, and regeneration. Realize that you have both male and female energies within your psyche. If each of us were to consciously use our gifts of sexuality and empowerment constructively, together we would create a safer and less destructive world. This card asks you to find spiritual and emotional equilibrium within the realm of feelings. A profound change awaits you when you integrate a personal sense of empowerment with a serene understanding of the universal flow of life. Inner harmony can lead you to a state of divine bliss and actualize your potential as a gifted healer.

Path of Balance
The Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
Soul Message: Follow diligently the Way in your own heart, but make no display of it to the world. Keep behind, and you shall be put in front; keep out, and you shall be kept in. He that humbles himself shall be preserved entire. He that bends shall be made straight. He that is empty shall be filled. He that is worn out shall be renewed. -Lao-Tzu
Alchemy and Transformation: At the time of the Agricultural Revolution, the Goddess began to withdraw, making way for humanity to initiate itself into ego. Fear and the need to control began to dominate. It is time now to forgive ourselves for such deeds of destruction and do whatever is necessary to turn things around. Only a ruler secure in authority can project this path of peace, fearing neither attack from without nor treason from within. It is time to become the rainbow bridge between worlds, the light-worker, the steward of the earth.
Awakening to the Archetype - Athene: The archetype of Athene embodies feminine logic and practical skills and acumen. Never indulging in attempts to control, violate, or dominate, She lives each day walking a Path of Balance.

Queen of the Night
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Cereus greggii
Color(s): White
Archetype: Grandmother Wisdom. Grandmothers, the Wise Women Elders, shared the knowledge of the changing cycles and seasons, and offered the song of life to those who longed to hear the Truth. Through the teachings of Grandmother Wisdom, we come to know the Moon and all Her cycles. She leads the way through the moonlit paths of our inner worlds, gently tugging at the veil of darkness. She teaches us that every heart is filled with dreams, prayers, hopes, and faith, and that a graceful life is given to those who are grateful.
Signature: A luminous desert flower that shines with a crown-like radiance in the dark, closing its bloom upon sunrise. It is attached below ground to an enormous root but above ground has only a skinny stem, resembling a stick, which supports its huge, fragrant white blossom.
Healing Properties: Queen of the Night assists in balancing one's yin qualities by opening channels to the womanly gifts and secrets buried in the deep places of their psyches. It is a valuable tool for women during the changing cycles of life, helping us to age gracefully and honor the subtle grace of the aged.

Child of Crystals
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
The Child of Crystals, represented by Mark Twain's delightful character Huck Finn, is the untamed part of us that desires adventure and an uncivilized relationship with the Earth. In the beginning stages of consciousness, we are introduced to the concepts of abundance, honesty, boundaries, experimentation, and responsibility on the physical plane. How we deal with these attributes has a direct bearing on our maturation beyond the child state of existence. In the Child of Crystals card, Huck is fishing in the Mississippi on a lazy summer's day. One might say that he is fishing for new knowledge in the wisdom stream of humanity's consciousness. As the Child of Crystals, he has his various animal friends, his trusty slingshot, and a calmness that reminds us of the harmonious vibrations of Mother Nature. When Huck appears for you, let your adventurous spirit roam free. Hike through the woods. Leave the world civilization for the great outdoors. Paddle your canoe down stream. Ask yourself some hard questions about your personal freedom, your use of physical gifts with sensitivity and skill, and any fears you may have about being a responsible member of society. Try to fathom where you are now along the meandering river of life.

Saguaro Cactus
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Cereus giganteus

Elders, Timekeepers who carry time within them, understand that archetypal patterns of the sort found in crystals, plants, DNA structures, earth and star formations, light frequencies and sound are imprinted in our dreams, intentions, and Self Knowing, and that they change with the growth and evolution of Earth and all the galaxies. Grandfather Wisdom patiently watches over the many offspring issuing forth from Grandmother’s Sacred Womb. His walking staff a symbol of direction and stature, he shows us the way into our own liberating authority, while teaching us important lessons about patience and intention.

Healing: The Saguaro Cactus is a powerful healing presence. Its stature and dignity symbolize the shift you are undergoing in relation to your own personal power. The masculine principle within your psyche is rebalancing at this time, and you will find yourself able to receive Grandfathers Wisdom's sacred knowledge, which resides within your heart, just as it lives at the center of this proud, majestic plant. The folks of Grandfather's garment reach out to protect your Earth Walk; his drum and walking stick are visible to the external world for they are essential gifts he brings to the journey. Drumming puts us in sync with the rhythms of the cosmos, while the walking stick is a symbol of stamina and purpose. You may wish to join a drumming circle at this time, or journey through the mountains and valleys of your homeland, exploring the very nature of your own authority and will power. A tremendous amount of life force is available you now, for, like the Saguaro Cactus, you are able to sustain your power over long periods of time. Time is your ally. Be patient and let the wisdom of your ancestral lineage guide you onward.

Two of Crystals
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
Balance is an integral part of the philosophy of ancient cultures. It is so important that it is represented in the zodiacal sign Libra. This sign represents justice, fairness, poise, equilibrium, and cooperation. The gnome children in this card are playing a favorite game of seesaw. In order to enjoy this game, the little gnomes must observe the rules of balance and cooperation; otherwise, the game can become dangerous. The empty swing in the background represents the independent activity of one person. On the seesaw, two people have come together-symbolizing the union of male and female qualities-to learn the lessons of polarity and relationship. If they are to succeed, they must work as a team and support one another. This card represents the first stage of conscious interaction. The owl, which is perched at the center of the log, signifies the wisdom of the middle ground that must be reached when individuals search for understanding and equality in relationship. Inherent in this card is the need for interpersonal sharing and the acknowledgment that ups and downs are a vital part of everyday life. This process is internal as well as external. The key is a flowing pattern that is beneficial to all concerned. Take good care of yourself, your relationships, and your health when you receive this card. Exercising mind, body, and spirit can bring you the agility to incorporate balance, whether you are alone or with a partner. Life can seem like a seesaw existence, but you can still have a wonderful time if you maintain a playful attitude.

By Isha Lerner
Soul Message: I am the moist and vast ocean of the heavenly Womb. The tides and waters of the earth respond to my changing reflection. I allow the magical light of my Moon glow to illumine my path inward to the place where my soul’s thirst is quenched. I feel, dream, imagine, and open to the spirit of the feminine orb of light that embraces my soul in the luminous sweetness of the night.
Alchemy and Transformation: At this level of initiation, the committed seeker lifts the veil of the Goddess one more time. Violet
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Viola Odorata
Color(s): Purple
Archetype: Eve. Used as a primary scapegoat of patriarchal Western culture, vilified by “his-story” and sacrificed as an evil temptress, it will take a radical leap of consciousness to bring Eve into the future with us. Eve, in Hebrew text, is Isha, meaning “woman.” In allowing Eve freedom from historical bondage, we free ourselves from bondage to patriarchal systems and myths.
Signature: Long-stalked runners, heart-shaped leaves clustered in rosettes, and sweet-scented flowers blooms from April through June.
Healing Properties: Violet is especially attuned to highly evolved and fragile souls, assisting with self-liberation, self-expression and individuation, while retaining the refined and tender qualities of their feminine beauty.
Healing: Eve has come to you today to offer you the opportunity for true liberation at all levels. An inverted heart-shaped violet leaf, representing devotion and transcendent wisdom, covers her heart. Her hair, symbolizing the ego, is adorned with birds, symbolizing the soul, and blends naturally into the Tree of Knowledge which stands behind her. In this way, the false dichotomy between self-consciousness and spiritual growth is overcome and we begin to understand that Eve's eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge did not instigate a Fall into Original Sin. Rather, it introduced into the world for the first time, the real possibility of fully embracing and consciously knowing our own innate divinity.
Nature is your guide and consort, assisting you as you create the vision of a New World; one that honors difference without hardening into dualism; one that achieves a balance between heart and mind.
In peace and tranquility, Eve sits among the violets as the newly-hatched serpent rebirths itself. This is a time of celebration, for life's mysteries are beginning a new cycle of rejuvenation. You are invited into Eve's sacred garden. How might you weave the world as you self-liberate into the image of a New Woman? Nature surrounds you as your sister and the tender violets beckon you to enter into divine union with your Original Self.

Guide of Swords - Robin Hood
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
Robin Hood and his merry men lived in twelfth century England. They were outlaw heroes to the native Saxons of Sherwood Forest, stealing from the rich Norman lords and giving the proceeds to the poor peasants who worked the land. During a time of governmental corruption and political intrigue, Robin Hood and his band became symbols of justice, humanitarian service, and goodwill. The Guide of Swords represents a true merging of understanding, cleverness, and love for one's people or community. In this card, Robin Hood reveals the Sword of Truth by his side and the arrows of higher consciousness and goal orientation in a quiver on his back. He has just retrieved the gold that several rich aristocrats had essentially stolen from the poor by overtaxing and burdening them. When Robin Hood is present in your reading, be determined to follow in his footsteps. Seize the initiative on your life path. Help the needy. Be generous to the poor. Teach others about the values of justice, fairness, equality and honor. Explore the forests and learn to live in harmony with nature. Remember the ancient adage “The truth will set you free.”

Tree of Life
The Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
Soul Message: Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people’s approval and you will be their prisoner. Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity. - Lao-Tze (Translated by Stephen Mitchell)
Alchemy and Transformation: We all need to establish the principle of universal harmony and balance firmly within ourselves in order to rest assured that behind all appearances, no matter how seemingly cruel or random, resides a greater truth, one that expresses the higher laws of spiritual governance. At this stage of initiation, the spiritual aspirant pauses to reflect upon the origins of life and to seek a greater understanding of his or her karmic circumstances and conditions.
Awakening to the Archetype - Athene: One of the many wisdom Goddesses, Athene applied her considerable wisdom to commerce, farming, and many other mundane arenas of life. You are invited into the temple of Athene, where balance and discrimination are elevated to the level of skillful means. Careful consideration and observation give you the chance to set your karmic records straight.
Everyday Encounters: We must strive to live according to higher principles and truths, walking a grace-centered path with awareness of spiritual laws and justice. Cultivate discernment in your life, but learn to let go of the burden of judgment, condemnation, and criticism. Embrace the notion that your judgments are always fundamentally about you and not about the other person. We’re constantly creating circumstances and conditions in our lives that will help us see ourselves more clearly.

Passion Flower
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Passiflora incarnata
Color(s): Flesh or Yellow tinged with Purple Blossom with an Orange ovoid containing hundreds of black seeds
Archetype: Christos, Krishna. Both Jesus (Christos) and Krishna were born of sacred female divinity, their forthcoming births announced to the world by a brilliant star. Both were hailed as World Saviors who had descended to Earth in order to refine and attune the masses to the principle of heart-centered truth. Their truest mission is to reflect the latent divinity locked within each mortal being, serving as a living mediator between Heaven and Earth so that the continuing passion of the soul can be understood and realized.
Signature: A climbing vine with beautiful flesh or yellow colored blooms tinged with purple. Each contains five stamen and nestled in their midst is a ripe, orange colored ovoid containing hundreds of black seeds, each with a delicious, fruity interior.
Healing Properties: Passion Flower helps us understand the deepest possible meaning of our own personal suffering, after which it assists in the ascent to our truest calling of service on the planet. It seeks to purify the kundalini forces which coil upward around the spine, strengthening oneÙs connection to selfless service and unconditional love, as well as drawing one closer to angelic messengers and galactical star patterns.
Healing: When Passion Flower comes to you, you are called to the inner sanctuary of your soul in order to resurrect the Divine Love and Compassion held therein. Like the vine of the Passion Flower, you reach ever upward, through whatever suffering and hardship you have experienced on your long journey, to the source of all light, which is true Self-Knowledge. While Krishna plays his magical flute, sounding the divine chords and notes of the heavens, a wave of eternity breaks behind him, and an angel, wrapped in Passion Flower wings, brings a message of Divine conception to the initiate. You are being shown your own soul's journey at this time, for you come from the stars of heaven to this earthly abode.
Satya Sai Baba, a modern day Avatar living in Puttaparti India, is, like the Avatars of old, an embodiment of Divine Love. The woman holding a jug of water represents His Holiness, for his mother was said to have received the light of a star-burst or illumination as she gathered water just prior to his conception. Once again you are given a symbol of your sacred origins, for we are all holographic images of the same Divine Reality. Like Krishna and Christ before him, Satya Sai Baba knows the true meaning of I Am Consciousness. He asks that we all recite the following prayer many times a day: " I Am God, I Am Not Separate From God. Remember who you are. Blessings."

Hibiscus
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
Color(s): Red or Purple
Archetype: Hioiaka-I-Ka-Poli-O-Pele (Hioiaka-in-the-bosom-of-Pele. Hioiaka, Supreme Goddess of the Hula, according to legend, was born of the Earth Mother Goddess Haumea, as an egg that transformed into a beautiful girl.
Initiation The Triple Goddess Tarot By Isha Lerner
Soul Message: I who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters, I call upon your soul to arise and come unto me. For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return. Let my worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold—all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you. And you who seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without. For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.
Alchemy and Transformation: The ancients regarded stars as living entities and connected each person with a “soul star.” At this stage of initiation, the “Star Queen” offers you higher and more refined ways of understanding the laws that govern the mystery of life. No longer held by the limitations that previously laid claim to your soul, you are now able to forgive and heal the wounds of the past, as well as to release your judgments and limited view of the world. Your future shines like a bright star.
Awakening to the Archetype – Queen of Heaven: Imagine yourself fully radiant, a shining example of the light of the Queen of Heaven’s highest manifestation. Something mysterious and magical has happened within you. Whether actualized as an outer experience or held as an inner one, you have been initiated and awakened. Take time to absorb the beautiful image of archetypal consciousness that now fills your cup of life. Blessed be!
Everyday Encounters: It is time to share your beauty in service to the world. The riches that have been bestowed upon you are not your exclusive property. They must be shared, just like starlight and moonlight share their luminous rays of transcendent splendor with all who will receive them. This stage requires a well-developed sense of humility. Share ideas with others and seek like-minded friends and acquaintances with whom you feel seen and affirmed. This is a time to reach for the stars!

Manzanita
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Latin: Arctostaphyos manzanita
Color(s): White to pink
Archetype: The Fertility Goddess, Venus of Willendorf. Revered as the embodiment of sacred cycles of life and death, her emblem of fertility—a full, round body, pregnant with the possibility of new life and creativity—was the hallmark of ancient matriarchal societies—a timeless, symbolic representation of the Universal Mother Goddess.
Signature: An evergreen with crooked deep reddish purple branches, silvery-green leaves and white to pink bell-like flowers. Its tiny fruit, resembling apples, turn from white to deep red.
Healing Properties: Manzanita brings harmony to body and soul, helping to uplift our attitude concerning body image, assisting people suffering from eating disorders of any kind, and helping those sensitive, spiritually-attuned souls who find the body cumbersome
Healing: The Venus of Willendorf and the dancing Goddess figures in Manzanita tree greet you, honoring the feminine spirit that resides with you. You are being mirrored by the Universal Mother who asks that you see yourself as she sees you - as an incarnation of divinity. Perhaps you need to tap your roots a bit closer to the Earth in order that you may fully take pleasure in your glorious body. As your body cycles through its many seasons, contemplate the Manzanita as a symbol of feminine transformation: its bark peels from its lovely branches after its ripened fruit has fallen to Earth, and like the snake, it then begins a new cycle of rejuvenation. The female body is nature's treasure, for without Her many symbolic deaths and regenerations, humanity would surely perish. We must once again learn to respect our female bodies, nourish them well, and love them fully, if we are to honor the Great Goddess who gives Her abundant Love to all.

Fuchsia
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Glory to Fuchsia,
For my suffering and pain,
And childhood past,
Are cleansed and soothed,
And healed at last.
Latin: Fuchsia hybrida
Color(s): Red, Pink and Purple
Archetype: Mermaid. Known as the “Virgin of the Sea,” the mermaid inhabits two worlds simultaneously: water (the emotions) and air ( the intellect). Her ability to descend to the depths of the sea gives her access to the hidden treasure of her Real Self. Her ability to ascend beyond the surface of the ocean waves, toward the sun and starts above, awakens her to higher levels of consciousness. Around her neck are pearls of wisdom, salvaged from buried treasure of her past.
Signature: A thick shrub with smooth green leaves and buds that form in clusters, pointing toward the earth. Upon flowering, its petals open upwards, crowning toward the heavens.
Healing Properties: Fuchsia assists one in accepting long-repressed emotions, whether from this or other lifetimes, and embracing one’s long-submerged and neglected grief, pain, and suffering. Often, through this process, the Divine Child within is revealed.
Healing: You must now learn to move freely between the watery realm of emotions and the arid world of the intellect. You are asked to courageously embrace life in all its dimensions, including pain and suffering, for in so doing, you strengthen yourself, allowing the spirit to travel beyond the confused emotions and perceptions of your personal history into the world of enchantment and true insight. Ultimately, like the fish-tailed Goddess, you emerge into wholeness; that which was once only known in the dark, womb-like places, is now fully integrated in the light of day.
When the Fuchsia mermaid visits you she invokes your long awaited transformation. The cherub angel pictured above her head represents your Divine Child, freed from the confines of the past and now heralding your glorious rebirth. Joyously, the hummingbird overlights you, for you have found many treasures buried in the darkness of your suffering and now know yourself to be whole in the midst of all that life has to offer. Rise up and receive the many blessings of your New World.

Flying Into Spring
The Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
Behold, a sacred voice is calling you. All over the sky a sacred voice is calling you.
–Black Elk
Soul Message: The bird flying free in the sky is my totem. I open my arms to embrace the wind that has captured my soul. The splendor of flight and the vision of new horizons call to me. I am free.
Alchemy and Transformation: Initiation and awakening move the soul toward new pastures of experience: places we didn’t dare visit, situations we shied away from, inner stirrings we thought we should suppress. The ability to rise above everyday restrictions of old routines and move upward toward the spacious imaginative mountaintop of new possibilities becomes the new theme in life. This is the time to break free. Be responsible and do no harm, while simultaneously meeting the void of the unknown with an open heart and wing.
Awakening to the Archetype - The Fairy Queen: The fairies were known to be the “Mothers” of the unseen and magical realms. The fairy realm forms a bridge between the kingdoms of nature and humanity, opening the channels for the spark of divine inspiration to manifest within the human soul. They are our constant, invisible helpers, awakening the angelic song of spirit in the heart of humanity and all of Earth’s creatures. With the blessing and guidance of the Fairy Queen, fly into the sky of your deepest desires, weave a cloak of new possibilities, dance yourself into new ways of being.

Shooting Star
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Shooting Star expands my role,
So I may truly unite,
With the memory of my star-bright soul,
And my mission of cosmic light.
Latin: Dodeatheon hendersonii
Color(s): White, Pink, Lavender, or Magenta
Archetype: Star Child. A Star Child is a luminous being who possesses a fierce individuality, strong will and equally strong character. Called to earth at this time to be in service to humanity at a critical stage of human evolution, their truest mission is to undo habitual patterns of human consciousness at the collective level, while dedicating their lives to building “A New World” in the wake of the old.
Signature: A Spring flower resembling a star or comet zooming to earth, with pale, green leaves in delicate basal rosettes. It cannot endure the summer heat and is found where the soil is rich and fertile and there is an abundance of water. Blossoms cluster on a leafless stem, reaching as much as two feet in length.
Healing Properties: Shooting Star is most beneficial to those who feel alienated from numerous aspects of early existence and suffer deeply for it. It re-patterns the soul force and reconnects them to their true, cosmic origins, allowing them to embrace earthly existence and offer their special gifts to the more earth-bound beings in their midst. Especially helpful for children with traumatic births, but a potent elixir for curing alienation on all levels.
Healing: Shooting Star reminds you that you have come to this planet carrying many special qualities and gifts - along with a unique mission and destiny. Have you felt an increasing sense of alienation lately? As you contemplate the coming changes, as well as the role you may play in ushering them in, do you fear that you will open yourself to ridicule, ostracism, scapegoating, or even martyrdom? Perhaps you have always known that you possess special virtues, and have ached for a time when such qualities could be unleashed, revealing the unique star that you truly are.
In this card, a bouquet of Shooting Star flowers greets a new arrival on board a tiny Shooting Star ship. This newborn is, in fact, a fully conscious soul, choosing to enter earth in service to the cosmic forces of Love and Light. Currently, there are many Star Children on earth who have not yet remembered their true identities and reasons for being here. As more and more remember, however, they, too, will be recognized and greeted by kindred spirits. Are you remembering? Perhaps you are in the process of birthing a little being of light. It is, indeed, a privilege to be granted such an opportunity. Always remember "You can wish upon a star."

Open Heart
The Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. First, to let go of life. Finally, to take a step without feet. --Rumi
Soul Message: Fill my heart with Love, that my every teardrop may become a star. –Hazrat Inayat Khan
Alchemy and Transformation: This stage of initiation entails dedication and commitment, for the tasks involved are some of the most difficult to comprehend for the human soul. The individual must seek to embrace the essence of love within and avoid the temptation to seek it elsewhere. The beloved with whom we choose to share our intimate life is but a reflection of our own loving nature. To the extent we seek love outside ourselves, we meet with disillusionment and disappointment.
Awakening to the Archetype – Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty: Imagine for a moment that love has two dimensions: the horizontal, confined and enclosed by time and space; and the vertical, representing the infinite, eternal link with spirit. Human love often gets caught up in the horizontal zone, fostering the desire to own, possess, and control one’s “love object.” Such strategies, motivated by fear, are doomed to fail. Aphrodite offers love to humanity from the vertical plane; her touch encasing us in an orb of shimmering joy. Find more time to care for your body, your hair, your attire and your environment. Dare to be the rapturous beauty that lives in your heart.
Everyday Encounters: It is a very good practice to stand up with arms reaching toward the heavens in the shape of a chalice. Imagine you are being filled with the elixir of divine love. Let the radiant light of Aphrodite pour into your heart. You will find that people cannot resist you, for the joy that emanates from your loving demeanor is both healing and contagious. Light a candle in your home symbolizing the purity of love you wish to share with the world.

Angel’s Trumpet
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Blessing:
Angel's Trumpet,
Sound a note,
New World Man, Arise!
Heal the wounded male within,
Make him whole, Make him wise.
Latin: Datura candida
Color(s): White
Archetype: New World Man. Over the past 5,000 years of human history, male-domination has caused great harm to the planet. It is through a deep surrender of the personal will to control and dominate, that the New World Man will become capable of healthy expressions of creativity and assertion, and fulfill his considerable destiny of service to humanity. His receptivity to change happens only when he understands that he must be transformed internally, so that he may blossom in aspiration with the Divine.
Signature: A large evergreen shrub with ample leaves and flowers, especially fragrant at night. Its shiny, tubular flowers point downward toward the earth, closely resembling trumpets shimmering beautifully in the moonlight.
Healing Properties: Angel’s Trumpet offers its trumpet-like call, heralding a time of transformation and rebirth. It is especially helpful for those in transition, those resisting letting go of material attachments, or those engaged in the literal dying process.
Healing: For both men and women, Angel's Trumpet beckons you to surrender inwardly, to the areas in your life that are in need of repair, compassion, and re-ordering at this time. This card comes to remind you that in the correct ordering of things, outer manifestation should come only as a crowning of the inner being, after one has truly opened to joy and a willingness to change. If you are inwardly receptive at this time, you will receive the subtle insights and messages necessary for integration and wholeness.
Angel's Trumpet flowers shine in the evening - the white blossoms glowing under the illumined moon. Symbolically, it is vital for New World Man, and the male principle in each woman, to enter his garden in the evening hours, allowing the receptive moon to stir his soul. Flowers are very receptive, and they will delight in being asked to participate in the healing of male woundedness. New World Man embraces nature, and by association, woman, in all her integrity. He humbly walks a path toward the future in order that he may help build a New World - a world of justice, harmony, and balance.

Nootka Rose
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Holy Rose, Queen of Love,
Your beauty is Divine,
Sacred is your tenderness,
Jewel of nature,
Sweet and kind.
Latin: Rosaceae
Color(s): Full spectrum
Archetype: Madonna, Mary, Queen of Heaven, Mother of the World. First symbolized as “The Holy Rose” in India, the body of the Goddess was considered a temple. At the mystical core of Christianity, Mary, a derivative of the Goddess, gives birth to The Light of the World in the form of the Cosmic Child, making her the Cosmic birther of all that is sacred.
Signature: Five-petaled flowers in the shape of pentagrams (5-pointed stars).
Healing Properties: Each color of Rose gently and uniquely stimulates the heart chakra to open to Cosmic Love and Wisdom, sometimes understood and experienced only through suffering and pain. Deep roots reflect tenacity and endurance.
Healing: The Austrian mystic Rudolph Steiner offered a unique perspective on the birth of Christ, suggesting that Mary, in fact, gave birth to twin souls: one dedicated to the path of the Truth, the yellow rose; and the other dedicated to the path of the Heart, the pink rose. In this way, according to Steiner, Mary offered the world both the forces of Universal Logos and of Universal Love.
In choosing this card, you are greeted by the Rose Goddess, gently announcing your readiness to accept the twin gifts of Cosmic Love and Wisdom embodied by the Mystic Rose. Mary's balancing of the head and the heart is symbolized by the Sun, aglow as an aura of Light around her head, and an illumined rose, shining forth from deep within her heart. Behind her stands a weeping willow tree offering its branches to mystical muses for the making of wands. Such branches were once considered cosmic connectors to the stars. Mary sits surrounded by the delicate flower Shooting Star. The flower essence derived from its blossoms assists humanity with the birthing of higher forms of consciousness on Earth.
Allow your mind to be illumined with the yellow clarity of the Sun as you open your Solar Body to new inspiration. At the same time, open your heart to the stream of rose light now encircling your energy field. You are dearly blessed.

Apple Blossom
The Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Beautiful apple blossoms sparkle,
Like multitudes of tiny stars.
Teach me hope and faith, I pray,
So that I may offer your cosmic riches,
Each and every earthly day.
Latin: Malus communis
Color(s): White and Pink
Archetype: Astarte, Queen of the Stars. Astarte was the “true sovereign of the world,” perpetually destroying the old in order to give rise to the new. She ruled over all the stars in heavens, and as the mother of all star-children, gave birth to the mysterious prototype of the Virgin Mary.
Signature: In the spring, the apple tree produces blossoms in delicate pink and pure, five-petaled, white varieties. By their delightful fragrance and store of nectar, they attract swarms of bees, and as a result of this fertilization, the fruit develops, becoming in autumn the succulent, ripe apple.
Healing Properties: Apple blossom purifies the emotions, assists the body in ridding itself of poisons from the past, and restores hope to one’s inner life.
Healing: You are offered a "star-filled" gift from the Apple Blossom. Astarte's association with Aphrodite and Venus, "the Morning Star," highlights the power of immense love and hope available to you during times of creative transformation. In Native American mythology, the Evening Star, wata-jis, heralds the emergence of the Starry Medicine Bowl in its full glory. Its presence is thought to offer a glimpse into the profound mysteries of life, death and rebirth. In many cultures, stars have come to represent hope, birth, and change. Astarte, for example, holds the golden star, while gazing with wonder into its magical depths, for she knows that the star is never stagnant. Five is the number of creative change, holding all potential within its holographic form. The star resides within the apple, a symbol of the feminine. Just as you must bite into an apple in order to expose its buried treasure, the star you must also go to the intuitive core of your psyche in order to re-imagine and create life anew. The star of hope that Astarte offers is not the whole answer, but in some elusive way, hope ushers in faith, and deep in our hearts we begin to believe that our "Morning Star will rise again."
The apple blossoms surrounding Astarte represent the flowering potential that is yours and yours alone. The medicine of the great Bowl of Stars surrounds you, as the cosmic canopy of lighted stars manifests visions of new hope. Deep in your own heart of hearts, lives the star Queen's love, rich and plentiful, helping you to cleanse your soul aura and emerge vibrant and healthy.

Eight of Swords
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
The children in the Eight of Swords card are walking ,through a cave or labyrinth that represents a soul journey into unknown territories. A labyrinth often has one winding path that leads towards an ultimate goal. It is often used in initiatic procedures. When deep transformation occurs, we are often guided into the secret places of our minds in order to resolve old karmic patterns and subliminal fears. Oriental mystics say that the true self resides in the cave of he heart. We must go there to restore our wisdom. The spider represents the enigma of the web, which weaves in and out of itself. Our minds are similar. We reshape and recreate our thoughts continuously. The snake, coiled in a figure eight-the symbol of infinity-is the psychic power and life force within. This snake reminds us of the ancient kundalini energy wisdom that travels up and own our spines, and has been likened to a fiery dragon , sleeping within the root chakra. The ability to readapt in life situations is essential if we are to successfully respond to the calling for change and maturation. You may feel that this is a trying time in your life. Put worries aside, for you are entering a sacred journey. Overcoming fear is possible if you are willing to confront its deceptive face. Perhaps you are not honoring this time of initiation. The way to do so is to illuminate the deep fears that block your life and be ready to come to terms with their potent meanings. This is a unique opportunity to clean the house of your psyche. There is always light at the end of a tunnel.

Passage
Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
You would know the secret of death. But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life? --Kahlil Gibran
Soul Message: I am an ever-changing aspect of the Triple Goddess, clothed in the garments of Sophia, the Black Madonna, Mother Mary, Demeter, and all other sacred manifestations of Her mystery. I travel through the portals of Her transformative death and rebirth processes. I am infinite and eternal as I surrender to the depths of my soul’s rebirth.
Alchemy and Transformation: At this stage of initiation, all that must be relinquished and completed in this particular life cycle is revealed. The soul-spirited individual becomes aware of the need to transform the outer manifestations of life in order to sustain and support the life of the soul. Something must change in order for new life to emerge and prosper.
Awakening to the Archetype – The Black Madonna: In the pre-Christian West, the cult of the Black Madonna was associated with the alchemical process of death and renewal. You are invited to greet the Black Madonna as a representation of the spiritual forces at work in your daily life. This is a time of renewal and rebirth. What is dying away? What new opportunities await you? Do not be afraid.
Everyday Encounters: Oftentimes the simple act of cleaning out closets and cabinets affirms one’s readiness for a new cycle of death and rebirth, symbolized by the Black Madonna archetype. House remodeling, relocation, a change of jobs, letting go of old friendships and relationships, a new exercise program, a marriage, divorce, pregnancy—these are some of the many ways in which the Passage or Death card manifests in everyday life. Embrace the uncertainty of change. Your reward will be the peace, clarity, and creativity that come from having nothing left to fear.

Infinite Truth
The Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life. –J. Krishnamurti
Soul Message: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world...As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. –Marianne Williamson
Alchemy and Transformation: At this stage of initiation, the great mystery of light is revealed. As we grow wiser, we come again, through our sacred meanderings, to the center of truth. Whatever your tradition or practice, however you offer your skills to the world, trace your roots and find the center of stillness and peace within. Only from this grace-filled place can we restore the health and well being of ourselves and our planet.
Awakening to the Archetype –Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom: In Sophiological cosmology, Sophia is understood as the Great Womb of the Holy Spirit out of which are birthed seven spiraling streams of divine energy. These streams were said to interface at every conceivable level and frequency, creating the solar systems, galaxies, and universes, and thoroughly saturating them with the spiritual qualities of wisdom and truth.
Everyday Encounters: You are invited to incarnate divine wisdom in your life at this time. Understand that wisdom is your birthright, your true nature. Become a true intellectual, one who engages the full power of the mind, heart, and spirit in the interest of alleviating suffering and making the world a true Garden of Eden.

Black Cohosh
Power of Flowers
By Isha Lerner
Black Cohosh with gnarly roots,
Offering flowers of tender white shoots,
Kali Ma reveals her sword,
Breaking the ties, cutting the cords,
All my demons are eternally free -
Black Cohosh, you transform me.
Latin: Cimicifuga racemosa
Color(s): White
Archetype: Kali, the Goddess of Destruction. Also known as Shakti, or Kali Ma, she is the embodiment of pure female energy for she is the deepest void or womb, where all is born, must die, and be born again. A fierce protector of the universe, her task is to strip away, cut back, and devour all obstructions and hindrances—hence, she is typically associated with the fearful imagery of transmutation, such as a sword held in one of her four arms, and snakes and skulls dangling from her body. She governs the mortal dimensions of human and planetary evolution.
Signature: A summer plant found in shady woods with gnarled and knotty roots which extend deep into the ground. Its pointed white flowers spike upward toward the light.
Healing Properties: Black Cohosh has estrogen-like qualities which soothe menstrual cramps and assist in child birth. It envelopes and balances the emotional and mental realms, and helps one find the inner courage and strength to overcome addictive patterns and emotional dependencies which can undermine self-confidence and self-esteem. True liberation can follow.
Healing: With this card, Kali Ma has come to serve you in the deepest possible manner. The Black Cohosh elixir is her tonic; for like her, it is born out of the dark places, revealing all that must be relinquished back to its unfathomable shadows. These healing forces come to your aid at a time of tremendous transformation. Addictive patterns, dysfunctional relationships, self-imposed suffering, and destructive habits of various kinds - all such afflictions are transformed by Black Cohosh.
Kali stands victorious amidst the rooted entanglements of despair. White flowers blossom around her, symbolizing the peace and tranquility that inevitably arise after her raging storm. A rainbow encircles Kali's sword, while her arms offer a kind blessing. Remember, out of your deepest, darkest fears, a new cycle of evolution beckons. Your path to enlightenment is secure; Mother Kali protects you along the way.

Three of Crystals
Inner Child Cards
By Isha Lerner
Jump rope takes three or more people to play and is one of several childhood games that stimulates rhyme, song, and laughter. The game synthesizes active and passive behavior as children take turns holding the rope and jumping in the center. In many ways, this reflects the laws of community at their best. All participants are needed to create a rhythm of steady movement. The number 3 represents group activity, communication, and joy. This card symbolizes community spirit and the fulfillment achieved when all parties are personally involved. The jump rope pictured here is a rainbow representing the bridge or arc that can lead to world harmony. When the Three of Crystals appears in your reading, it may be time for you to redefine your purpose in the community and joyfully share the wisdom and gifts that you have to offer. Join groups. Get to know families and children in your neighborhood. Share your life with like-minded individuals who cherish and respect your view of life. If you have not found your group or a special circle of friends, now would be a fruitful time to deepen your inner joy in order to strengthen your self-confidence and personal resources. Above all else, remember to play.

Initiation
Triple Goddess Tarot
By Isha Lerner
You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. –Mary Oliver

Healing: The Divine Child, known in Tibetan Buddhism as the Child Luminosity, will never abandon you; instead the child waits patiently for a time of reunion with the Mother Luminosity, or pure consciousness. In this way, the heart of the child meets the wisdom inherent in all of Life. This integration of Divine Mother and Child is essential as you embark on the healing quest of Self Love and maturation. The process of discovering the golden cup of love within is nothing short of enlightening, for the holiest of holies resides in the Buttercup meadow or your heart.
Just as the child angel in this card holds a Buttercup over the heart of the Buddha, so too is your heart being offered a precious gift of Nature. It is time to accept the luminous child which is your birthright, and to hold dear the treasure of your Originally Enlightened Self. The Buttercup behind the Buddha reflects an aura of golden light, symbolizing your own luminous Child Self which guides you at all times. Its radiant light penetrates your solar body, or solar plexus - the area below your heart where emotion and feeling are stored. The Buttercup's enlightened energy field bestows many blessings upon you and offers you clarity, so that you may see the Truth of who you really are.

Five of Swords
Inner Child Tarot
By Isha Lerner
In the Five of Swords, the river raft of the Four of Swords finds a place to dock, and the fishing rod or sword is secured in the sand. The boy leaves the raft behind and begins to explore a variety of uncovered truths that are awaiting him. He gazes at a starfish, which reveals the potential of his creative mind. In numerology, the number 5 is connected with freedom, adventure, and unexpected changes on the path of life. The seals on the shore symbolize the emergence of unseen life forces coming to the boy. His awareness is fresh as he discovers new ideas. Most exciting is the realization that clarity is brilliantly emerging like the bright sun in the sky behind him. As you venture from your raft of the past, be aware of the truth and freedom that await you. Freedom misused can be confusing and chaotic. Be thoughtful and discriminating as you gather resources and information. Know your boundaries-the lessons of the raft. Clarify your goals. The boy is on a slippery rock, and he must move carefully to stay surefooted. Anticipate illuminating insights from places deep within you. This is a creative and purposeful time. Most importantly, focus your attention and thoughts.
